A place filled with tropical beaches, rich history, amazing food, classic cars and eccentric neighborhoods – an endlessly fascinating place!
1. Soak In The Sun At Playa Paraiso
This beach is called Playa Paraiso for a reason – it is paradise… in every way! The beach is hardly affected by waves as part of it is more like a lagoon. A truly beautiful beach with the whitest, softest sand and clear azure blue, warm sea.
2. Travel Varadero Beach
So clean and clear…a sight to sea 😉
3. Visit The Valle de Vinales
Vinales is a beautiful area of Cuba and the small town is oh so charming! The colorful houses line the few streets overlooking some stunning scenery! Here you can be mesmerized by fabulous caves, interesting tobacco farms, bird watching and really good food at the fincas outside town.
4. Explore Old Havana Cuba
Old Havana is not for the feint at heart. If you are looking for a Ritz Carlton experience, don’t go. However, if you wish to see a place with radiant colors, radiant people and a radiant culture, by all means, go now while it is still pure. No cell phone coverage and horribly slow internet connections. Ahhhh. Bliss.
5. Relax On Pilar Beach (Playa Pilar)
A place of tropical peace and serenity with a combination of white soft sand that feels like powder against your skin – need we say more? You can also rent some nice chairs for the rock bottom price of $2!
6. Jump Into El Nicho Waterfalls
Natural pools that are clear, cool and beautiful to swim in! Cuba seriously has it all.
7. Witness The Cannon Show At El Morro Towers
Nice historic atmosphere giving you the feeling how pirates and Englishmen must have taken over the city centuries ago. They also host a cannon show here at night, a strange historical re-enactment, but worth it for the uniqueness of doing something that is mostly done by locals.
8. Buy Some Amazing Art In Fusterlandia
Colorful and magical place straight out of a book! Artist’s decorate the houses and streets making a colorful and eclectic neighborhood with mosaic tile art everywhere! You are welcome to walk around freely, talk with people from the casa of the artist, have a drink and buy signed pieces.
9. Snorkel Cayo Blanco
What a beautiful island! Calm and relaxing with gorgeous clear water that is perfect for swimming and snorkeling. When your finished exploring the sea – lay under a palm tree and take a nap 🙂
10. Take A Private Tour with Havana Journeys
Be driven in a 1953 Ford or 1955 Bel Air around Havana! Stop and have a REAL Cuban lunch and explore the city with people who really know where all the great spots are! It’s an experience you won’t ever forget and should not be missed!
