Honestly, this is the highlight of Vienna. Start early and take your time to explore this treasure chest of amazing paintings and everything art. This museum has an extraordinary picture collection and in a few short hours you can enjoy a number of world class pieces of art. Do allow plenty of time, as this astonishing gallery is quite extensive. Another great thing about this place is that it is pretty quiet and you can take your time with pictures without the crowds that are typical of many world class galleries.
Finally, enjoy a coffee in what must be the best appointed coffee shop in the world.

A beautiful and romantic spot where you can spot a musician around every corner. Salzburgs is a gem of a city, rain or shine with some stunning views. You also want to visit the Mirabelle Palace and Gardens. Do not miss.

If you love winding roads with stunning views and dramatic cliff sides – this adventure is for you. Here you can see superb views of the Alpine mountain peak ranges from a well managed road! Have no worries – although the road does have some hairpin turns but the road is wide enough for traffic in both directions! There are also plenty of opportunities to pull over and take some amazing shots.
6. Take A Ride On The Innsbrucker Nordkettenbahnen
This is a wonderful trip, but should only be considered when visibility is good, because the main reason for going is to see the panorama from the summit – of course! Once you get up here it is quite breathtaking. All four seasons offer spectacular views.

The gardens here are extensive and beautiful. This is a place where you can easily spend the whole day walking around the beautiful gardens and enjoying the outdoors.

An AMAZING museum which is an understatement – this is seriously probably the nicest and most informative museum on planet Earth. The museum consists of many exhibitions; ranging from meteorites and minerals to planetarium to dinosaurs and many other animals. There’s a comprehensive explanation/description next to each exhibit which make the whole experience very educating. This museum has an extensive collection of fossils and almost every specie on the planet.
9. Fall In Love With The Hallstatt-Dachstein – Salzkammergut Cultural Landscape
Possibly the most beautiful village you will ever see. It can get pretty crowded in the summer but in autumn and winter – the town is practically all yours. The Hallstatt “classic” look is located a few minutes walking after the Heritage Hotel. You can rent a boat from the locals and drive around the lake. A visit to Dachstein Mountain is a must if you’re in the Hallstatt area. It has many great attractions, hiking opportunities, and of course, scenic viewpoints.
10. Explore The Festung Hohensalzburg (Salzburg Fortress)
Breathtaking views of the city and river on every side of the fortress. The sheer size of the fortress is jaw dropping and it is amazing of how well kept it still is! On a sunny day the view from the top is amazing. You will be able to have a 360 degree view of the city by walking around a wide top area of the Fortress. You can use the cable car or walk up the hill (we suggest the cable car). There are some excellent restaurant and cafe options at the top to rest and enjoy the city view. If you are in Salzburg it is an important highlight of the city and you should definitely not miss out on this one!
