There is alot to see in the Philippines and it can almost be overwhelming when you look at all the possible islands! Here is a short little bio about each of the famous islands, but hey, in reality any of them would be amazing so it really doesn’t matter which one you pick!
1. El Nido Island
A laid back northern Palawan town that offers the Bacuit Archipelago rocks as the backdrop to almost every beach you decide to relax on. The most dramatic sunsets in the area appear at Las Cabanas Beach. We particularly love this beach because while your enjoying the beautiful sunset, you can order yourself up a fruity drink to kick back and relax to. We love that the islands of the archipelago are blessed with dozens of beaches, which can all be visited on the island hopping excursions of the El Nido. If you decide to take the island hopping excursion, you might be paying a little bit of money, but it’s so worth it because these beaches are vacant and they offer one in a life experiences.
2. Cebu Island
This beautiful banana-shaped island has accessibility going for it – international flights from Asian hubs such as Hong Kong and Singapore fly right into the Visayas’ largest city, Cebu City! When you arrive here, hire a boat to take you out to islands in the Bohol Strait, where ample quantities of white sand grace the numerous beaches! You can also visit Malapascua Island as well as Moalboal – Cheers 🙂
3. Southern Negros Island
The all inclusive island of the Philippines, offering a little bit of everything! Once you fly into Dumaguete, you are only an hour of Apo Island – a top dive site that has backpacker friendly accommodations! Walk Tambobo Bay and fall in love with Siquijor Island. The white sand beaches are calling your name, and you should go!
4. Boracay Island
Great for kite surfing, great for snorkeling and pretty much everything else. Boracay though, is definitely known as a little bit of a “party island” from all the recent publicity it has been receiving over the recent years, but that doesn’t mean you can’t find some mellow time on the island either. But hey, if you like to party, this is definitely the Philippine Island for you!
5. Pagupud Island
The Kauai of the Philippines! The most uninhabited island of all the Philippine islands, and also the most exotic! You can find the most dramatic coastline here, the most adventure here and life here is pretty colorful all around.
6. Siargao Island
Best known as the Philippines top surf spot! Cloud Nine beach is ground zero for surfers from all around the world but you can also head offshore to some of the uninhabited islets.
