One of the best National Parks on the planet. The broad path that runs through this park is alongside the beautiful Costa Rican coastline. The thick jungle provides shade and shelter for all kinds of exotic wildlife, and you WILL come into contact with such a variety of them, so you will want to wear pants, as well as boots. Expect to see sloths, monkeys, lizards, butterflies, eyelash vipers, caymans and all types of birds, just to name a few.

4. Hike to the Rio Celeste Waterfall in Tenorio Volcano National Park

The Rio Celeste waterfall is stunning and the water is so blue you won’t believe it until you see it with your own eyes. The Tenorio Volcano National Park should definitely be on your list of places to visit when you are in this area.
